The King's Shillings

Lt Denbeigh entered the inn to cover Watkins' exit. He was first attacked by two French troops. Privates Tableaux and Plateaux. he despatched both men with his sword. Having watched the slaughter, Lt Chirac was reluctant to fight Denbeigh, however Denbeigh charged him and they fought one to one. Denbeigh's luck, unfortunately ran out, with a mighty effort Chirac bested his opponent.
