SHOT

In most units in both Spanish and English armies nearly 50% of troops would have been armed with SHOT. In the Spanish forces these were ALL guns, in the English forces there were still a fair number of bows.

Fire arms pose a problem in games like this. We wanted to avoid paperwork and counters  so we have kept fire arms to shooting every turn.

Identifying what is what can be tricky. The general rule of thumb we use is ... it is a MUSKET if the figure is carrying a rest (Stick to support the front of the barrel) It is a CALIVER if not. If it is a bendy stick and a bag of arrows it is a Longbow;0)
